Entering the mosque: doors of mercy
Allah, open the doors of Your mercy for me.
When entering the mosque (Abu Usaid).
Words for entering the mosque, leaving it and going out to prayer.
Allah, open the doors of Your mercy for me.
When entering the mosque (Abu Usaid).
Allah, I ask You for a share of Your bounty.
When leaving the mosque (Abu Usaid, in the same report).
I seek shelter in Allah the Great, in His noble Face and His eternal authority, from the accursed Satan.
The Prophet ﷺ would say this when entering the mosque (Abdullah ibn Amr).
In brief: The narrators’ part of the report adds that Satan says of the person who says this: “He is protected from me for the rest of the day.”
Allah, put light in my heart and on my tongue. Put light in my hearing and sight, behind me and before me, above me and beneath me. Allah, give me light.
The Prophet ﷺ was saying this as he went out to prayer (Ibn Abbas).
