93. Ad-Dhuhaالضحى

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

1. وَٱلضُّحَىٰ١1

   By the morning brightness

   Listen from ayah 1
2. وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا سَجَىٰ٢2

   And [by] the night when it covers with darkness,^[1941]

   Listen from ayah 2
3. مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَىٰ٣3

   Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muḥammad], nor has He detested [you].

   Listen from ayah 3
4. وَلَلْـَٔاخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لَّكَ مِنَ ٱلْأُولَىٰ٤4

   And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life].

   Listen from ayah 4
5. وَلَسَوْفَ يُعْطِيكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرْضَىٰٓ٥5

   And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied.

   Listen from ayah 5
6. أَلَمْ يَجِدْكَ يَتِيمًا فَـَٔاوَىٰ٦6

   Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge?

   Listen from ayah 6
7. وَوَجَدَكَ ضَآلًّا فَهَدَىٰ٧7

   And He found you lost and guided [you],

   Listen from ayah 7
8. وَوَجَدَكَ عَآئِلًا فَأَغْنَىٰ٨8

   And He found you poor and made [you] self-sufficient.

   Listen from ayah 8
9. فَأَمَّا ٱلْيَتِيمَ فَلَا تَقْهَرْ٩9

   So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him].

   Listen from ayah 9
10. وَأَمَّا ٱلسَّآئِلَ فَلَا تَنْهَرْ١٠10

    And as for the petitioner,^[1942] do not repel [him].

11. وَأَمَّا بِنِعْمَةِ رَبِّكَ فَحَدِّثْ١١11

    But as for the favor of your Lord, report [it].
