84. Al-Inshiqaqالإنشقاق

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

1. إِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ ٱنشَقَّتْ١1

   When the sky has split [open]

   Listen from ayah 1
2. وَأَذِنَتْ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتْ٢2

   And has listened [i.e., responded]^[1888] to its Lord and was obligated [to do so]

   Listen from ayah 2
3. وَإِذَا ٱلْأَرْضُ مُدَّتْ٣3

   And when the earth has been extended^[1889]

   Listen from ayah 3
4. وَأَلْقَتْ مَا فِيهَا وَتَخَلَّتْ٤4

   And has cast out that within it^[1890] and relinquished [it]

   Listen from ayah 4
5. وَأَذِنَتْ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتْ٥5

   And has listened [i.e., responded] to its Lord and was obligated [to do so] –

   Listen from ayah 5
6. يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ إِنَّكَ كَادِحٌ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ كَدْحًا فَمُلَـٰقِيهِ٦6

   O mankind, indeed you are laboring toward your Lord with [great] exertion^[1891] and will meet it.^[1892]

   Listen from ayah 6
7. فَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِىَ كِتَـٰبَهُۥ بِيَمِينِهِۦ٧7

   Then as for he who is given his record in his right hand,

   Listen from ayah 7
8. فَسَوْفَ يُحَاسَبُ حِسَابًا يَسِيرًا٨8

   He will be judged with an easy account

   Listen from ayah 8
9. وَيَنقَلِبُ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِۦ مَسْرُورًا٩9

   And return to his people in happiness.

   Listen from ayah 9
10. وَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِىَ كِتَـٰبَهُۥ وَرَآءَ ظَهْرِهِۦ١٠10

    But as for he who is given his record behind his back,

    Listen from ayah 10
11. فَسَوْفَ يَدْعُوا۟ ثُبُورًا١١11

    He will cry out for destruction

    Listen from ayah 11
12. وَيَصْلَىٰ سَعِيرًا١٢12

    And [enter to] burn in a Blaze.

    Listen from ayah 12
13. إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ فِىٓ أَهْلِهِۦ مَسْرُورًا١٣13

    Indeed, he had [once] been among his people in happiness;

    Listen from ayah 13
14. إِنَّهُۥ ظَنَّ أَن لَّن يَحُورَ١٤14

    Indeed, he had thought he would never return [to Allāh].

    Listen from ayah 14
15. بَلَىٰٓ إِنَّ رَبَّهُۥ كَانَ بِهِۦ بَصِيرًا١٥15

    But yes! Indeed, his Lord was ever, of him, Seeing.

    Listen from ayah 15
16. فَلَآ أُقْسِمُ بِٱلشَّفَقِ١٦16

    So I swear by the twilight glow

    Listen from ayah 16
17. وَٱلَّيْلِ وَمَا وَسَقَ١٧17

    And [by] the night and what it envelops

    Listen from ayah 17
18. وَٱلْقَمَرِ إِذَا ٱتَّسَقَ١٨18

    And [by] the moon when it becomes full

    Listen from ayah 18
19. لَتَرْكَبُنَّ طَبَقًا عَن طَبَقٍ١٩19

    [That] you will surely embark upon [i.e., experience] state after state.^[1893]

    Listen from ayah 19
20. فَمَا لَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ٢٠20

    So what is [the matter] with them [that] they do not believe,

    Listen from ayah 20
21. وَإِذَا قُرِئَ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْقُرْءَانُ لَا يَسْجُدُونَ ۩٢١21

    And when the Qur’ān is recited to them, they do not prostrate [to Allāh]?

    Listen from ayah 21
22. بَلِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ يُكَذِّبُونَ٢٢22

    But those who have disbelieved deny,

    Listen from ayah 22
23. وَٱللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يُوعُونَ٢٣23

    And Allāh is most knowing of what they keep within themselves.

    Listen from ayah 23
24. فَبَشِّرْهُم بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ٢٤24

    So give them tidings of a painful punishment,

    Listen from ayah 24
25. إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ لَهُمْ أَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُونٍۭ٢٥25

    Except for those who believe and do righteous deeds. For them is a reward uninterrupted.
