102. At-Takathurالتكاثر

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

1. أَلْهَىٰكُمُ ٱلتَّكَاثُرُ١1

   Competition in [worldly] increase diverts you

   Listen from ayah 1
2. حَتَّىٰ زُرْتُمُ ٱلْمَقَابِرَ٢2

   Until you visit the graveyards.^[1980]

   Listen from ayah 2
3. كَلَّا سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ٣3

   No! You are going to know.

   Listen from ayah 3
4. ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ٤4

   Then, no! You are going to know.

   Listen from ayah 4
5. كَلَّا لَوْ تَعْلَمُونَ عِلْمَ ٱلْيَقِينِ٥5

   No! If you only knew with knowledge of certainty...^[1981]

   Listen from ayah 5
6. لَتَرَوُنَّ ٱلْجَحِيمَ٦6

   You will surely see the Hellfire.

   Listen from ayah 6
7. ثُمَّ لَتَرَوُنَّهَا عَيْنَ ٱلْيَقِينِ٧7

   Then you will surely see it with the eye of certainty.^[1982]

   Listen from ayah 7
8. ثُمَّ لَتُسْـَٔلُنَّ يَوْمَئِذٍ عَنِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ٨8

   Then you will surely be asked that Day about pleasure.^[1983]
