Wudu and the toilet

أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ وَرَسُولُهُ

I testify that Allah alone deserves worship and that Muhammad is Allah’s servant and messenger.

After completing wudu. Umar related these words of the Prophet ﷺ to Uqba ibn Amir.

In brief: The report says the eight gates of Paradise open for him, and he may enter through whichever he wishes.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْخُبُثِ وَالْخَبَائِثِ

Allah, I seek Your shelter from male and female devils.

As you go into the toilet.

On leaving the toilet; Aisha said the Prophet ﷺ used to say this.
